The idea for Jubal App was born in a board meeting for the London Mozart Players Trust in late 2015, in part, as a possible way to generate a regular revenue stream to support the orchestra. The London Mozart Players Orchestra is one of the UK’s finest chamber orchestras and with an illustrious history going back over sixty years, like many other classical music groups has suffered from the drying up of their traditional sources of support in recent years. I am a Director of this trust.
From this germ of an idea we have developed this App with the intention that it will send gentle notifications to a user for them for particular artists, venues or music genres in accordance with their preferences. This feature to in the hands of the user and set according to choice or switched off altogether.
In addition it can, simply by opening the App, provide information on other concerts, which can be filtered by date and location and other criteria as well, check availability and enable the purchasing of tickets.
It is hoped that this App will prove beneficial to all parties involved by encouraging the selling of more tickets for concerts thereby benefitting the venues and artists, making it easier for the user to know about concerts that are on so that they don’t miss out on the opportunity of attending, and generating revenue for the employees of Jubal App and its shareholders including the London Mozart Players.
